August Meeting Summary

Have Your Say

The Parish Council will be arranging the delivery & collection (by volunteers) of a short questionnaire regarding the Bloor Homes proposal.

A fact sheet will accompany the questionnaire to aid you forming a view on the proposal.

Parishioners are asked to take a few minutes to complete the survey which can also be found online here: Housing Development Survey

The PC will act in accordance with the majority of views of the Parish.

In the meantime, the PC has approved the redrafting of the Neighbourhood Plan that reiterates that no development should be allowed outside of the village confines and this will now be submitted to West Northants Council for approval so that it can be considered in future WNC planning decisions.

At its August meeting, Councillors Geri Rowe and Lesley Wearing were appointed to share the role of vice-chair.

The PC agreed to support a planning application for a redevelopment in Hinton Road and agreed a revised service level agreement for the Community Library with WNC.

Road safety was discussed and in particular traffic speeds and as a result, several 20mph advisory signs will be placed strategically in the village – the Police Commissioners’ Office will be invited to advise the PC on any other measures that could be considered.

A request from the Community Café for financial support was considered and will be taken forward by councillors.
